Bekhudi released in 1991 marked the Bollywood debut of Kajol. The makers had earlier signed Saif Ali Khan for this film. This would have been his first film as well. But after completing the shoot of first schedule, the makers removed him citing that he is unprofessional. Saif Ali Khan was then replaced by yet another debutant Kamal Sadanah. The first clap of this film was given by actress Amrita Singh, the popular actress of that time. This was when they both met and fell in love soon. They both got married in 1991
