The movie story starts with Sunil’s sister waking him up from his dream of marrying Anna, the girl he loves.

On other hand Vinayak, Sunil’s father, is bothered by his son’s carefree attitude, love of music, and lack of interest in education. Father Braganza is the only one who still has faith in Sunil despite everyone else having given up on him and believing he is worthless.

A six-piece band with three members hoping to break through is called Sunil, Anna, and Chris. Chris is glad to see Anna return to the group after a long absence because he loves her. Following Anna’s reappearance in his life, Sunil starts attempting to modify his behaviour in an attempt to win Anna over.

Sunil observes Anna and Chris’s closeness as they are performing at a friend’s wedding. He chooses to cause an obstacle between them after being devastated. Eventually, Sunil is drawn into his false web. Anna gets angry and decides not to speak to him ever again, slapping him. Sunil is dismissed from the band. Nevertheless, luck is on Sunil’s side as he puts on a fantastic performance to prevent the band from being insulted at a nearby bar; as a result, the whole band forgives and moves on.

Though Sunil believes he has won Anna back, he soon learns that Chris and Anna are in love and intend to get married. Sunil, broken hearted, realizes he has lost the love of his life.

In the meantime, Anna’s father believes Chris is deserving of her hand in marriage. Chris’s parents have different plans and arrange Chris’ marriage to their friend’s daughter despite his declaration of purpose. Anna is miserable, as is her family.

When Sunil comforts Anna, things gradually start to go his way. Anna’s father convinces Anna to wed Sunil on the grounds that he will love and care for her. When Sunil finds out Anna still has feelings for Chris, he is happy. Reuniting the two, Sunil decides to arrange for their marriage. When Chris and Anna are ready to exchange rings on their wedding day, Chris drops his ring and it rolls out of view. Sunil notices the ring but pretends not to notice it while his younger sister looks at him tearfully. Chris eventually finds the ring, and they tie the knot.

Sunil is spotted sitting on the pavement shortly after the wedding, looking sad and broken-hearted. By coincidence, Sunil is approached by a random female who is lost and looking for instructions. Later on, Sunil and the girl are spotted strolling under the moonlit sky and having a pleasant conversation.

Two of the story’s crooks, Anthony and Vasco, break the fourth wall when they observe Sunil with the new girl and assure him that everything would be okay.

Majrooh Sultanpuri wrote the words, while Jatin-Lalit composed the music. Kumar Sanu sings one of the most well-known songs, “Ae Kaash Ke Hum”. The songs “Rasputin” (1978) by Boney M. and “In Zaire” (1978) by Johnny Wakelin are the source of the song “Sachhi Ye Kahaani Hai”.In India, more than 800,000 soundtrack albums were sold for Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.
